Welcome to HomeForeman. By creating an account or using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

What HomeForeman is (and isn't)

HomeForeman provides home-maintenance scheduling, educational repair guidance, and price estimates. It is an informational tool. It is not a licensed contractor, inspector, engineer, insurer, or professional advisor, and nothing in the app is professional advice.

• Estimates are not quotes. Price figures are estimates that can be wrong for your specific job. Always get written quotes from licensed professionals.
• DIY guidance is at your own risk. You are responsible for judging your own skills, following local codes and permits, and stopping when something feels unsafe.
• Automated assessments can be wrong. Parts of the service use artificial intelligence. Verify anything important before acting on it.
• Emergencies:if a situation is dangerous, stop using the app and contact 911 or your utility's emergency line.

The marketplace

HomeForeman lets homeowners publish project bid packages and lets contractors view them, submit bids, and message homeowners. We are a platform, not a party to any agreement between homeowners and contractors:

• Contracts are yours.Any agreement for work, and any payment, happens directly between homeowner and contractor. Put agreements in writing. We never collect or hold money on a contractor's behalf, and neither should anyone else.
• We don't guarantee contractors or homeowners. License and insurance details are provided by contractors and labeled self-reported until we check them against public records; a verified badge means the record matched at the time we checked, not a guarantee of workmanship, insurance coverage, or fitness. Do your own verification before hiring.
• Bid packages are homeowner-provided. Measurements, photos, and answers come from the homeowner and may be imperfect. Contractors are responsible for their own pricing decisions, including deciding when a site visit is needed.
• Reviews are tied to completed jobs.Ratings may only be left by the homeowner on a completed, accepted bid. Don't attempt to manipulate reviews; we remove fraudulent activity and may suspend accounts involved.
• Share links.Publishing a project creates a link that shows your project's photos, scope, and general location (city/state/zip) to anyone who has it. Your street address is only shared with the contractor whose bid you accept.
• Contractor accounts. The contractor marketplace is free during beta. Paid contractor plans are planned and will be announced before they take effect. We may suspend contractor accounts for misrepresentation, harassment, or attempts to move homeowners off-platform to evade marketplace rules.

Your account

Keep your credentials private; you're responsible for activity under your account. You must be 18 or older. We can suspend accounts that abuse the service.

Subscriptions

Paid plans renew monthly until canceled. You can cancel anytime and keep access through the end of the paid period. Prices may change with notice before your next renewal.

Your content

You own what you upload (photos, documents, notes). You give us permission to store and process it to run the service, including sending relevant excerpts to AI providers to power features you invoke. Anonymized, aggregated data (for example, typical prices paid in an area) may be used to improve the service.

Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, HomeForemanis provided "as is" and we are not liable for damages arising from use of the service, including property damage, injury, or losses from acting on estimates or guidance. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
